Presented by Jacque Gerdes and Liz Fox – Alternative Work Concepts

Join us for a free half-day workshop to help special education teachers and staff support students with physical and intellectual disabilities in their quest to gain employment.

Jacque and Liz will focus on how educators can support students in the workplace.  Participants will examine strategies to foster success in four areas:

  • The vision of work experience and supported employment for individuals
  • Self-Determination
  • Job Coaching Strategies and Workplace Support
  • Collaborating with Community Supports

Jacque and Liz have worked together for over two decades building Alternative Work Concepts (AWC), a small, nationally recognized supported employment agency which assists individuals with significant physical and multiple disabilities to gain employment in their communities throughout the Eugene/Springfield area.  AWC’s mission is very specific — to allow individuals with significant disabilities a resource to gain integrated jobs with the unique and creative supports they may need to be successful.

This workshop is sponsored by the Transition Network. There is no charge to attend. Space is limited so register today!
